Civil Wedding Ceremonies Devon
Being
a public and a legal ceremony there are certain guidelines that need to
be followed when holding a civil ceremony. Firstly, any member of the
public wishing to do so must be able to attend you marriage.
In the area that you are to be married music can be be played but must be agreed with the Superintendent Registrar beforehand. This music has to be of a non religious nature. This is also the case for any poetry or words that you wish to have spoken during the ceremony. The bride and groom may provide flowers for the marriage room if they wish.
The bride and groom are also responsible for booking the Superintendent Registrar and also for ensuring that all of the above is adhered to and agreed with the Superintendent Registrar before the day of the wedding.
